1. Senior IPS officer Dilip Trivedi,a 1978-batch officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre has been appointed as the new chief of the country's largest paramilitary force CRPF.
2. D. Bala Venkatesh Varma, a Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 1988 batch, appointed as the next Ambassador and Permanent Representative of India to the UN Conference on Disarmament, Geneva.
