1. One of the world’s largest railway systems is going mobile. Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation(IRCTC) will be starting SMS-based ticketing services from 1st July that will link the mobile number with IRCTC and the bank for payment purposes.

4. Union Cabinet has approved Mumbai metro line 3. The estimated cost for the metro project has been pegged at Rs 23,136 crore.

13. In the biggest single day gain in 22 months, Sensex surges 520 points to close at 19,396; Gold declines 1,150 rupees to 25,650 per 10 grams.
